Volunteer Services

We provide volunteer opportunities for all youth, adults and families. A volunteer will experience personal growth, skill development, social interaction, and a sense of belonging while building a stronger community. Our goal is to develop and maintain a core of volunteers. They will enhance the YC's efforts in providing programs, services and activities to meet the needs identified by the community of St. Albert.

At the YC your time is appreciated. Volunteers are important to us and we are grateful for the assistance and talent you are willing to share with us.

Board Members
An opportunity to show your commitment to youth concerns and issues in our community. Youth and adult positions available. Board members meet once a month. Executive positions require a greater time obligation.

In School Mentoring
Make a difference in the life of a child become an In School Mentor. Support Kindergarten to Grade 9 students with homework help and organizational skills. Commitment is one hour a week for four, six, or eight months.

Youth Centre Assistant
If you enjoy working directly with youth, come show us your skills. This position assists the youth workers in delivery of the Activity Centre programs.

Special Events
The St. Albert Youth Centre participates in many special events - Mayor's Breakfast, Mayor's Walk, & Volunteer Week. Extra volunteers are always welcome for these special events.
